Report: En+ may buy part of Deripaska’s stake to remove sanctions
MOSCOW, May 25 (PRIME) -- Russian businessman Oleg Deripaska is considering selling part of his shares in En+ Group to reduce his interest below controlling and remove the company from the U.S. sanctions list, Reuters reported Friday citing sources familiar with the situation.
One of the options implies En+ Group buying part of Deripaska’s stake.
At present, Deripaska holds 66% in En+ Group, which controls aluminum giant UC RUSAL and other companies.
On April 6, the U.S. imposed sanctions against 38 Russian tycoons, officials and companies, including Deripaska and En+ Group.
